Selection factors

Why the application matters more than the industry label.

A cap feeder and a fastener feeder use the same broad principle, but their risks can be completely different. A sharp metal component may wear tooling; a cosmetic closure may show rub marks; a spring may tangle; a moulding may vary by cavity; a medical component may need controlled contact materials.

For this reason, feeder choice follows component evidence and production conditions. Industry context informs safety, cleanability, documentation and material choices, but trial behaviour determines how the part can be separated and oriented.

“Can it be fed?” is only the first question. The real specification is: can every accepted variant be delivered in the right condition, pose and rate to the agreed handover point?
