Bowl and drive
Diameter, profile, drive capacity and controller range are selected for component size, loading and usable output.
Bespoke feeder engineering
A custom bowl feeder combines the correct bowl geometry, drive, surface treatment and orientation tooling with a defined handover to your machine.
Quick answer
A bespoke bowl feeder is engineered for a defined component set and output pose. The bowl, tooling, vibration settings and discharge are developed around how those real parts separate, climb, reject and transfer.
That is different from choosing a standard bowl by diameter alone. The useful result is sustained, correctly oriented delivery at the agreed handover point.
Custom design scope
Tooling decisions follow component evidence, line demand and the receiving process.
Diameter, profile, drive capacity and controller range are selected for component size, loading and usable output.
Wipers, rails, traps, air jets, selectors and profile checks remove incorrect presentations and recirculate them safely.
Polished, brushed or coated contact surfaces can be specified for traction, noise, marking, cleanliness and component protection.
The final track, nest, chute or escapement preserves orientation and matches the downstream pickup or release method.
Design inputs
Send representative production parts wherever possible, not only a drawing or ideal sample. Include every approved variant, dimensions, weight, material, surface condition, required orientation and target sustained rate. A marked photograph of the accepted output pose is especially useful.
We also need the receiving-machine layout, available footprint, transfer height, electrical standard, demand signals, guarding boundary and expected operator loading interval. These details determine whether the project needs a complete vibratory feeding system with hopper, linear track and escapement.
For components with uncertain behaviour, a component trial can establish orientation method, realistic rate, recirculation and part condition before the final design is fixed.
Bespoke does not mean unbounded
Define the accepted part set, output orientation, sustained rate, test duration, allowed intervention and final handover point. This turns a custom engineering project into a repeatable performance requirement.

Direct answers
Answers are based on application evidence; final suitability is confirmed against the component and agreed production requirement.
Sometimes. A family of components may share tooling when geometry and orientation features are compatible. Each variant should be declared and tested; change parts or adjustable tooling may be required.
Representative production samples from every intended variant or source are best. Quantity depends on the part, required trial duration, recirculation and target rate.
Yes. The mechanical handover, controls, demand signals, guarding and fault recovery must be defined so the feeder and receiving machine operate as one system.
